HBRE Chu Prong Wind Farm Successfully Put into Commercial Operation

Wind turbine field of HBRE Chu Prong wind power plant

This 29 October 2021, HBRE Chu Prong Wind Farm has officially commenced their commercial operation (COD). The wind power plant is amongst those projects that have been energized and and approved for operation on schedule while the pandemic is still posing significant challenges to project execution in Vietnam.

HBRE Chu Prong Wind Farm is located in Gia Lai province, with total installed capacity of 50MW, and is owned and developed by Super Energy Corporation (Thailand). This is the first wind power project in the province with a total investment capital of over 1,000 billion VND.

Participating in the project, ATS provided our comprehensive solution for substation and power plant, ranging from the design, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the control & protection system for substation and wind power plant control system (PPC), to services required for the energization, licensing, commissioning and necessary works the for commercial operation of the project.

Executing the project during a time when the Covid epidemic in Vietnam called for tightening of restriction measures, ATS engineers had been able to uphold necessary safety measures while still ensuring project’s technical quality is satisfied.  We are proud to be able to contribute to the successful and timely completion of the project in accordance with the requirement of our client and Electricity of Vietnam (EVN).
